As the people behind Make it Market Drayton, funded by Market Drayton Town Council, we’re passionate about helping local businesses, charities, and community groups thrive — both online and on our high street. Our shared goal is to see a busy, vibrant town with no empty shops, strong local connections, and plenty of reasons for people to live, work, visit, and stay in Market Drayton.

A Free Website for 12 Months

We’re offering all Market Drayton-based businesses, charities and community groups the chance to have a free website for 12 months as part of the Make it Market Drayton initiative.
This offer gives you:
1. Your own WordPress website (you build it – we’ll show you how!)
2. 12 months of free hosting with Digital Online Brand CIC
3. Training and support from our team every step of the way
4. Access to regular networking events and free workshops funded by Market Drayton Town Council
5. We want to give everyone in Market Drayton the opportunity to have a professional online presence, connect with more people, and showcase what makes our town so special.

Our shared commitment

This initiative works because it’s a partnership between you and us.
Your Commitment
To take part, we ask that you:
Take part in our training sessions to learn how to use WordPress and manage your own website
Join the Make it Market Drayton network for support, advice and collaboration
Pay just £25 per year for your domain name (this is paid directly to the domain registrar)
For businesses you’ll move onto our £25 per month hosting plan after 12 months — or once your business can afford it (we won’t pressure you into paying this and can wait a bit longer if you need more time.
If you’re a charity or community group, we’ll help you find funding to continue after the first year
Stay with us as your hosting partner — we want to grow with you and celebrate your success
Recommend us to others and help spread the word about this initiative
We do kindly ask that participants don’t use our training to start offering website design services — this programme is designed to build up your organisation, not to create competitors.

Our Commitment

In return, we promise to:
1. Provide ongoing free training sessions and workshops through Make it Market Drayton
2. Offer networking opportunities and collaboration sessions for local organisations
3. Be available on the Make it Market Drayton WhatsApp group for support
4. Meet for coffee and chats in one of our brilliant local cafés — because connection matters
5. Offer email support whenever you need a helping hand
6. Back up your site and help fix any issues if something goes wrong
7. We’re not just offering a website — we’re offering a partnership to help you succeed.
